Hello again
Just a bit of old news.
Last month I managed to get promoted at work. It's better money and a much more challenging role with in the company. I'm no longer a fat bastard bus driver, now I'm a fat controller instead. It's more money, and once again I have a challenge at work. Let's be honest, after the first few weeks there's nothing really challenging about bus driving. It's probably the easiest money in the world.
After the last few weeks of training I can now see why it's been refered to as the most stressful job in the company.
The quiet times are practicaly dead, while the busy times are absolutely manic. And trust me when the shit hits the fan it seems utter chaos. But I'm firmly in the belief that there's no point in worrying or getting stressed about things that are out of your control. At present I'm trying to live my life by a quote from Jose Mourinho.
"I do not feel stress. If you have stress in your life, you are doing something wrong. So change it."
The best thing about the new position is that it should mean that my hours are mors flexible as the control team are usually more willing to swap work days and shifts.
Catch you later Bill and Ted.
